Swiss design will be on display this autumn at two of the highlights of the London design scene, the London Design Biennale (7–27 September 2016) and the London Design Fair (22–25 September 2016).

Switzerland’s contribution to the London Design Biennale comprises seven Swiss designers, each showcasing their project in an exhibition curated by Giovanna Lisignoli at Somerset House. The projects were developed in collaboration with Swiss technology firms and are understood as innovative experiments – in keeping with the theme of the London Design Biennale, «Utopia by Design». Switzerland is one of thirty countries presenting design creations at the Biennale.

In addition, the shorter London Design Fair at Tent London will offer a hub for presentations, talks and the exchange of innovative ideas in connection with Swiss design. The same location will also serve as a stage for Design Prize Switzerland, which – with around 22 projects on show – offers design aficionados plenty of scope for discovery.

Switzerland’s presence in London is organised by Pro Helvetia in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in London, Presence Switzerland and Design Prize Switzerland.
