Fotomuseum Winterthur is once again offering 42 young photographers from across Europe an opportunity to present their work both to a wider audience and to art and photography experts. From 25 to 27 January 2019, visitors will be able to engage in dialogue with the exhibiting photographers, to listen to various expert discussions and to browse through the exhibited photography books (sponsored by Pro Helvetia).

Plat(t)form will focus on two-hour portfolio viewings during which six artists will present themselves and their work. Presentations will offer a wider audience an opportunity to discover new trends from the world of photography and to discuss trends and developments with the artists.

Every year, Pro Helvetia invites international experts to discover the Swiss photographic scene through various encounters and exchanges. Swiss photographer Laurence Rasti, for example, took part in «Photo Kathmandu» 2018. A brief discussion panel at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, 27 January 2019 will provide in-depth insight into the world of our guests, most of whom are based in the regions of Pro Helvetia’s branch offices.

Come along to Atelier Sidi to explore Swiss photography books. All the volumes supported by Pro Helvetia since 2013 will be on display. Stefan Burger, Matthieu Gafsou, Cécile Hummel, Marianne Müller, Giona Mottura and Jean-Vincent Simonet will present their new publications on Saturday and Sunday.
