Date of residency 2019
5 to 20 September
Networking residencies in the domain of theatre open up possibilities for up-and-coming young practitioners to give their artistic development a boost and advance their career by gaining fresh experiences and forging new contacts. During their stay at a renowned institution, residents will be professionally mentored and introduced to the local theatre scene as well as to other international artists that are present.
Pro Helvetia is offering two aspiring young theatre artists a networking residency at the acclaimed production house CAMPO in Ghent (Belgium). The residency consists of two parts. The first is a visit to the ten-day Het TheaterFestival, which features a jury-based pick of the best Belgian plays of the past season. In the second part, the selected candidates take part in the four-day international After Summer School organised by CAMPO, where an international group of young theatre practitioners get to know established peers in their field in a four-day workshop. Pro Helvetia is assuming all the costs involved. Good knowledge of English is a precondition for participation in the After Summer School workshop.
