List of the 10 supported projects:
For the fourth time, Pro Helvetia has issued a call for projects for interactive media. As part of the focus on «Culture and Business», support will be provided for computer games, Virtual und Augmented Reality (VR/AR), interactive comics and other forms of digital content requiring interaction. On the occasion of this year’s call for proposals, 10 projects were chosen out of 56 candidates. The projects will receive support at different stages in their development, for example, designing, producing or marketing a game. The aim is to help game studios get a foothold in the market.
In the view of jury member Marc Bodmer, the games pack a growing narrative punch. As jury member Kelly Vero sees it, the Swiss game developer community is becoming passionate about its work.
The next call for projects is now open and will run until 1 September 2019.

CONTRIBUTION TO PRE-PRODUCTION
apelab, «The Legend of Kami»
In «The Legend of Kami», everyone has an animal as protector and advisor, but it takes years of training before you are assigned a so-called «animal spirit». A young trio can’t wait, and set out in search of a way into the human world. An adventure for all age groups, combining smartphone, tablet and mixed reality.
Patricio Land, «Sol705»
The «Sol705» adventure takes place in the 1970s in the remote town of Tucana Lake. An eccentric group, «Sol705», uses its lab to try to contact extraterrestrials. The graphic adventure is crammed with references to European and American pop culture, thereby guaranteeing pixelated playing fun.
CONTRIBUTION TO POST-PRODUCTION
Cosmoscope, «Morphies Law»
Based on the logic of «Shoot to grow», in the 3D shooter «Morphies Law», every time you the shooter hit an enemy’s limb, thee mass is transferred to your equivalent limb. Somebody who is big is stronger, but they also provide a bigger target. As a result, team diversity is a major factor in this multi-player game. Cosmoscope earned an Honorable Mention for its game at GDC Play 2019.
