Cahiers d’Artistes 2021

Media enquiries
The latest Collection Cahiers d’Artistes series is now available. With each Cahiers d’Artistes series, Pro Helvetia enables eight artists to have an initial monograph published to their name. A new series is issued every two years.
The creative production of the artists selected this year is particularly diverse in terms of both content and form. It ranges from conceptual cooking by Sandra Knecht via the sculptures, installations and photography inspired by everyday objects and material culture by Roman Gysin and Noha Mokhtar to the activist productions of Elena Montesinos and Ramaya Tegegne. The other artists included in this multifaceted series are Andreas Hochuli, Marie Matusz and the duo Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė.
The selected artists benefit not only from a customised concept for each Cahier devised in collaboration with the graphic design firm Bonbon, but also from contributions by renowned authors written in cooperation with the artists concerned. Jeppe Ugelvig, Chaédria LaBouvier, Sylvain Menétrey and Sarah Rifky are among the authors who produced texts resulting from an in-depth exploration of the works of the artist they cover.
The Cahiers d’Artistes are published by Edizioni Periferia and can be ordered at the publishers, either individually or as a series in a slipcase.
The Cahiers d’Artistes will be presented in autumn (20 to 26 September) in connection with the Swiss Art Awards in Basel.
