71 Cultural practitioners and artists will take up residencies in Pro Helvetia’s global network in 2022, with the aim of strengthening their networks worldwide, drawing inspiration and developing new projects. Artists and cultural practitioners from the regions of the liaison offices and Switzerland spend up to 3 months in a different context, where Pro Helvetia together with its partner organisation provides them with a place to work, professional coaching and connects them with the art scenes in the region they are placed at.

Pro Helvetia also offers residencies at the Swiss Institute in New York and this year, for the first time, at Palazzo Trevisan in Venice. For an overview of this year’s selected artists, please refer to the list of 2022 Residencies.

Applications for residency programmes are only accepted via an annually open call. The next open call for applications will be in December 2021 for residencies in 2023. Residencies at Palazzo Trevisan are published separately.
