Artists and cultural practitioners should have the opportunity to respond to current social transformations, even beyond disciplinary funding, to actively shape the associated developments and to engage with disciplines outside the arts in their artistic practice.

As of 2021, Pro Helvetia is awarding grants twice a year to arts and cultural practitioners for transdisciplinary research and production projects. This support will enable them to work on a new project at the interface of artistic and non-artistic disciplines (such as biology, medicine, technology, sociology, anthropology, etc.). Both established arts and cultural practitioners and young talents are eligible to submit a project, provided they have a track record of artistic practice with cross-regional appeal.

Next application deadline: 1 March 2022
