By autumn 2022, 95 projects had been submitted with an application for a literary creation grant, 39 of which from the German-speaking part of Switzerland, 27 from the Romandie (French), nine from Ticino (Italian), one from the Rhaeto-Romanic speaking part, eleven in the field of children’s and young adult literature (five German, six French) and eight in another language. At the recommendation of the jury for literature that had assessed the applications in anonymised form, four projects in German, three in French, two in Italian, two in the field of children’s and young adult literature (both French) and one in Russian were selected. The twelve projects comprise the genres of fiction and poetry.
Eligible for a literary creation grant are authors who have already had a literary work published by a recognised publishing house, who are actively involved in the Swiss literary scene, and who are either Swiss citizens or permanent residents of Switzerland. The grants are awarded twice a year, in June and in November.
