The 7th edition of “Move” festival at Centre Pompidou, with special focus on female and Swiss artistic production, will take place in Paris from 15 June to 2 July 2023.  Pro Helvetia and the Centre culturel suisse de Paris (CCS) are involved in the festival for the first time, providing support for the Swiss contribution.

The Swiss focus of the festival presents a panorama of contemporary Swiss creation in the performing and visual arts. The programme includes works by Alexandra Bachzetsis (installation), Lara Dâmaso (installation and performance), Dorota Gawęda & Eglė Kulbokaitė (installation and performance), Natasza Gerlach (performance) and Sophie Jung (performance).

Since its launch in 2017, “Move” festival has featured productions that combine dance, performance and moving image. The theme of the 2023 edition is « Corps indisciplinés / Merveilleux démons » (undisciplined bodies / marvellous demons). Transgressions of convention are at the core of the artistic creations presented, in particular through sensualised or sexualised bodies as a means of empowerment.
