Open Call: FUTURES, the European Photography Platform

Pro Helvetia and FUTURES Foundation open a call for Swiss cultural institutions who have a focus on contemporary photography to become a member of the FUTURES platform. Three Swiss institutions will be selected and each one can choose two emerging artists each year to benefit from the programme FUTURES offers.

FUTURES is a Europe-based photography platform bringing together the global photography community to support and nurture the professional development of emerging artists across the world. Since 2017, it aims to add long term value in empowering early and mid-career photographers – launching initiatives to promote their work and granting them access to a network of professionals, markets and audiences.

This latest collaboration with FUTURES is part of Pro Helvetia’s new measures for the support and funding of photography. The Foundation reinforces its cooperation with international forums, thus facilitating among Swiss photographers the pursuit of targeted networking activities.
