Our Offices & Partners Abroad

Organisational Chart

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategy. It lays down the guidelines and determines the focal points of Pro Helvetia’s activities. Its members are elected by the Federal Council.

The Secretariat is responsible for Pro Helvetia’s operations. It processes applications for financial support, develops new promotional tools, advises event organisers and artists, directs and administers the offices abroad and implements the Arts Council’s own initiatives.

The Secretariat is located in Zurich. Offices abroad are maintained in Cairo, Johannesburg, New Delhi, Shanghai, Moscow and Paris. Pro Helvetia also cooperates closely with the cultural centres in Rome/Milan, New York and San Francisco.

The Committee of Experts advises the Secretariat in specialised matters. It assesses applications for support and Pro Helvetia’s own projects in cases that involve amounts of CHF 50,000 or more. It also appraises new promotional tools prior to their introduction.

A network of Independent Experts and various specialised Juries provide advice and recommendations in connection with applications for support.

Further information on Pro Helvetia’s organisation can be found in the Internal Rules of Procedure (Geschäftsordnung).
