Anna Arutyunova

Head of Global Network & International Affairs Sector

After studying history at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Anna Arutyunova began her career in arts journalism. She collaborated as writer and editor with various art and culture publications such as Openspace.ru, Art&Auction Russia, The Artnewspaper Russia, etc. From 2012 to 2016, Anna lived and worked in Italy and the United Arab Emirates, where she curated exhibitions and organized public programmes on visual arts and photography. In parallel, she was engaged in research in the field of cultural economy and the art market. After extensive research travels, among other countries to Brazil and South Korea, and lecturing on the topic, she wrote a book with the title «Art Market in the XXI Century: The Space of Artistic Experiment». It was published in 2015 by the Higher School of Economics Publishing House in Moscow. In 2016 Anna returned to Russia to join Pro Helvetia as Head of the Moscow office where she worked until her transfer to the head office in Zurich as Head of Global Network & International Affairs in 2020.
