As part of its Message on Culture, every four years parliament allocates a global budget to Pro Helvetia. For the period 2021-2024 the Arts Council will receive 180,4 million francs.

Operational budget
86,6% of the CHF 44,2 million that Pro Helvetia spent in 2022 went directly to culture as follows

- 53,5% for activities abroad (39,2% in Europe)
