Emerging Talents: project extension
What
Extension of a project in its advanced stages with the aim of mid-term market success (example: PR and marketing measures, creation of websites or e-shops)
For Whom
Emerging Talents’ are professional designers whose design-relevant training or registration (self-employed, sole proprietorship, company) dates back less than seven years.
Selection Criteria
- Strong design reference
- Feasibility, high degree of innovation and marketability
- Demonstrable sustainability concept
- Copyright and rights of use are held by the project owner.
- In-depth research on target groups and future market
- At least 50% of the participants are Swiss citizens or permanent residents whose place of work is in Switzerland.

Financial Contribution
- Up to CHF 20,000
- Additional individual coaching measures are possible
Content Of Application
- Concept (max. 10 A4 pages) incl.:
- presentation of the project
- scalability or detailed description of the project phase to be finalised
- value proposition (form available on application portal under ‘Attachments’)
All documents must in principle be submitted in English.
Format-specific Exclusion Criteria
The following are excluded:
- commissioned work and projects that are part of an advertising campaign
- unique pieces, craft projects, new editions, collectible projects
- platforms, events or publications
- projects in the fields of game design, architecture or photography
Only one project per category may be submitted by the same applicant.
Application Deadlines and Decision Timelines

| Submission deadline | 1 March, 23:59 (CET) and 1 September, 23:59 (CEST) |
| Notification of decision | June and November |
| Earliest start date for the project | 1 July and 1 January |
Decision-making processes
The applications will be assessed by a jury.

For all supported projects, Pro Helvetia will develop an individual document to keep track of project milestones and time planning.
