What
Thematic exhibitions and knowledge exchange at specialist events that are open to the public (symposia, round tables, etc.) and held in Switzerland
For Whom
Recognised design institutions and established festivals, design weeks, etc.
Selection Criteria
- The project must be of national significance and must assume a well-founded evaluation of current, social issues
- The project relates to the contemporary work of designers of national significance, which is documented by their attendance at trade fairs or events over several years
- The institution organises regular presentations of contemporary design positions
- Contribution towards costs and fees are expected from the event organisers

Financial Contribution
Up to CHF 10,000 towards:
- Transport and insurance costs
- Travel costs (round trip, economy, without accommodation)
Content Of Application
- Description of the project concept and set-up
- Date and venue of the public performance or presentation
- Detailed breakdown of costs and financial plan incl. information regarding all financial assistance requested from third parties
- Information concerning the amount of the grant requested from Pro Helvetia and the justification of the need for it
Format-specific Exclusion Criteria
The following are excluded
- Solo exhibitions
- Exhibitions of private collections or in galleries
- Commissioned work and projects from advertising campaigns
- Unique pieces, craft projects, new editions, gallery projects
- Promotional platforms for designers
- Projects from the fields of game design, architecture and photography
