From 1 January 2012, applications by cultural practitioners for financial support from the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia must all be submitted in electronic form. The www.myprohelvetia.ch portal provides the necessary information as well as step-by-step guidelines on how to enter data and submit an application.
The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is switching to a system of electronic applications only. From 1 January 2012, cultural practitioners must create and submit their applications for support via the www.myprohelvetia.ch portal, which has been set up exclusively for this purpose. This simplifies both the submission by applicants and Pro Helvetia’s subsequent processing of an application. Moreover, the procedure becomes standardised for all arts disciplines.
«myprohelvetia» guides applicants through the creation of their application, and provides information on deadlines and the criteria that need to be fulfilled for specific projects to be promoted by the Arts Council. Whether it is a work grant, support for an international tour or a financial contribution to a cultural education project that is requested, applicants have permanent access to their data via a personal user account and can so process their applications at any time. Applications can be supplemented by PDF documents, links, audio and video files without the necessity of paperwork.
This application portal has been available in four languages since 2008. Users have qualified it as clearly structured, easy to use and secure, which shows that «myprohelvetia» is well received by cultural practitioners. Already today, almost half the applications for support received by Pro Helvetia are submitted online.
