«Incidental Space» – A project by Christian Kerez
Architect Christian Kerez is to design the Swiss exhibition at the 15th Architecture Biennale in Venice. With his interdisciplinary project «Incidental Space» at the Swiss Pavilion, he explores questions of structural analysis in a thought-provoking way with regard to the architectural possibilities of our days. The «Salon Suisse» programme at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi, in its fifth edition, has been set up by art historian Leïla el-Wakil from Geneva. Its title represents a direct appeal: «Wake up! A path towards better architecture». Topics at the heart of the event series are heritage and tradition, re-use and recycling, and human requirements regarding architecture.
Further information on Switzerland’s contribution to the 15th Architecture Biennale in Venice, lasting from 28 May to 27 November 2016, can be found in the media release.
