Born in France, raised in Leipzig and now living in Bern, Aino Salto had the feeling for years that she ‘had to vomit something musical’, as she describes it in her own words. Beginning of 2025, she released her first album ‘Imagine People as Adolescent Birds’, a pop-oriented project with jazz influences.
With a classical music background, having studied violin and piano and attended choir school, it’s while discovering improvisation that her desire to create songs sparked. Together with her experienced companions Paul Butscher (ARBRE), Luzius Schuler (Dino Brandão), Tabea Kind (EDNA) and Eddy Sonnenschein, she brings her solo project to life.
