Boris Nikitin is a theatre director, author, video artist and curator. His works, many of which tour internationally, deal with the representation and production of reality. They explore the intersections between illusion theatre and performance, between documentary and propaganda, constantly seeking and challenging the boundaries and breaking points of the aesthetic.

In 2020, Boris Nikitin received the Swiss Theatre Award.

A stage setup features a large screen displaying a black-and-white image of two people. On the stage, various objects are scattered, including chairs, a table with glasses and bottles, and pieces of clothing. One person sits in a chair, another stands near the screen, and a third person lies curled up on a low platform. The scene is illuminated by stage lights, creating a contrast between the dark background and the brightly lit performance area, suggesting a complex and layered narrative.

A dramatic scene unfolds on stage with a large screen projecting a close-up of a person's face in vivid detail. Below the screen, performers and crew members are engaged in a live performance setup. One person, dressed in dark clothing with intricate details, stands prominently in the center, while others adjust equipment and props around them. The intense lighting and close-up projection create a powerful and immersive atmosphere.
