Cindy Van Acker founded Cie Greffe in 2002. Alternating between powerful solos and striking group pieces, as well as working with movement at the opera, Cindy Van Acker’s dance is abstract, yet always directly connected to the idea of struggle, of resistance, also called de strijd in Flemish. Her work has been recognised withnumerous awards, including two Swiss Dance Prizes and the Chevalière de la Légion d’honneur (Nation Order of the Legion of Honour) medal. With more than 20 choreographic works, Cie Greffe is internationally renowned.
