La Ribot was born in Spain and now lives in Switzerland. She is usually described as a dancer and choreographer, but she is also a radically transdisciplinary artist. Since the 1980s, her work has not only explored live performance but also incorporated video, writing, object creation, and installations. In 2019, La Ribot received the Swiss Dance Award.
