Prototype Status is a contemporary dance company founded in 2008 by choreographer Jasmine Morand. Supported by the Canton of Vaud and the City of Vevey, the company is known for its large-scale creations, such as MIRE, LUMEN, and MIRKIDS, which have earned it international recognition since 2016. Drawing inspiration from graphic art, these innovative performances have led to notable acclaim, including the Dance Performance Award in 2020 for Lumen, presented by the Federal Office of Culture. Based in Vevey, the company also manages Dansomètre, a residency space dedicated to choreographic creation.
