Rebecca Weingartner is a choreographer based in Basel. Her current artistic exploration is driven by her personal experiences with social injustice and structural disadvantages, including her identity as a woman*, person of color, and someone affected by classism. She is currently working on the final piece of a trilogy aimed at young audiences. In 2021, she was awarded the Culture Prize for Dance by the government of Canton Baselland.
