Martin Zimmermann has been blending contemporary dance, theatre, and circus for over twenty years, creating a distinctive artistic style. His work is characterized by humour, absurdity, massive stage sets, and physically precise choreography, often featuring exceptional performers. Zimmermann’s creations challenge conventions, question regularities, reveal the invisible, and make the improbable seem possible, all while encouraging audiences to think in new ways.

In 2021, he was honored with the prestigious Swiss Grand Prix Performing Arts / Hans Reinhart Ring.
