This year in the visual arts field, a new pilot call is launched and some adaptations of existing measures are implemented. Discover the novelties here.
A new call for applications: Perform!
Performance art is an integral part of the visual arts scene in Switzerland. Nevertheless, both the conditions for production and for distribution differ from other media in the visual arts. The focus of this pilot call is to support visual artists from Switzerland who want to professionalize and deepen their performance practice.
Application deadline: 1 February 2024
Adaptation of the work grants
With these work grants, Pro Helvetia supports the creation of new works in the visual arts, photography or architecture.

What is new: the research grant evolves in START: artistic project development. For this measure, the applications can now be submitted all year round.
For information, we support research work of independent Swiss curators with the following measure: START: curatorial project development.
Adaptation of the studio visits
Pro Helvetia supports professional and purposeful exchange between artists, photographers, architects and curators or other experts.
What is new: curators or the other experts can be established in Switzerland but can now also come from abroad.
