In a new collaboration, Pro Helvetia and FUTURES Foundation have launched a call for applications giving to three Swiss cultural institutions the opportunity to become a member of the FUTURES platform for the period 2023-2025.
FUTURES Foundation selected the three institutions – each of which focuses on contemporary photography – based on the high quality and originality of their applications. Together, they represent Switzerland’s creative and varied photographic scene.
The selected Swiss institutions are:
These institutions are now part of the FUTURES community and will each year select two emerging artists from Switzerland to benefit from the programme FUTURES offers.
In 2023, the selected artists are:
- Thi My Lien Nguyen and Thalles Piaget (Photoforum Pasquart)
- Tamara Janes and Florian Amoser (Photo Elysée)
- Mathilda Olmi and eden levi am (Centre de la photographie Genève – CPG)
This latest collaboration with FUTURES is part of Pro Helvetia’s new measures for the support and funding of photography. Pro Helvetia reinforces its cooperation with international forums, thus facilitating among Swiss photographers the pursuit of targeted networking activities.
FUTURES is a Europe-based photography platform bringing together the global photography community to support and nurture the professional development of emerging artists across the world. Since 2017, it aims to add long term value in empowering early and mid-career photographers – launching initiatives to promote their work and granting them access to a network of professionals, markets and audiences.
