Pro Helvetia has awarded literary creation grants to 13 authors.
Pro Helvetia awards literary creation grants twice a year, in June and December. To be eligible, authors must have already had a literary work published by a recognised publishing house, must be actively involved in the Swiss literary scene, and must be Swiss citizens and/or reside primarily in Switzerland.
By 1 September 2024, 120 projects had been put forward for consideration by the literature jury. Of these projects, 45 were in German, 37 in French, 12 in Italian, two in Romansh, nine in other, non-national languages, and 15 in the field of children’s and young adult literature (nine in German, four in French, one in English, and one bilingual project in German and French).
On the recommendation of the jury, which assessed the applications in anonymised form, 13 projects have been selected to receive a creation grant.
