Pro Helvetia has launched the call for applications for residencies taking place in 2026.

The residencies include comprehensive support, covering accommodation, travel expenses, daily allowances, professional guidance, and, upon request, a dedicated workspace and contributions towards production and material costs. Additionally, artists and cultural practitioners with childcare responsibilities can apply for support to help with childcare expenses.

Application deadline: 1 March 2025


Residencies in the regions of Pro Helvetia’s liaison offices

Artists and cultural practitioners (individuals and artist duos) based in Switzerland who are active in any of the disciplines supported by Pro Helvetia may apply for a three-month residency in the regions of Pro Helvetia’s liaison offices. Online info event

Interested artists and cultural practitioners based in Switzerland are invited to participate in an online info event on Monday, 3 February 2025, 12:30-14:00 (CET). The session will include a detailed presentation of the available residencies, followed by a Q&A segment.

Residencies at Swiss Institute in New York

From 2025 onwards, the application process for residencies in New York will be handled directly by Swiss Institute.

The call for the 2026 residencies will open on 5 March and will close on 13 April 2025. It will be published on both Swiss Institute’s and Pro Helvetia’s websites.
